Citi Prestige being updated

So received a package in the mail and it was a pamphit all about citis changes to the prestige card. They are also re designing it. I guess updating credit card appearances is in the air these days. They changed some of their rewards strucure a bit. and looks like the lounge perk has been changed. But nothing too drastic it seems, I like the new card design however. They said it would arrive by october.

Depends, for several people it's a large change! No flight points, no companion ticket.

Don't know how to link (not sure even if you can here) but FT has pictures of it there. It is black, the front has a "spirograph" design with a seal of some sort on it CITI and Prestige are in chrome, with teal accents - the swipe strip is hidden in the FRONT of the card, the back has your number - name and the Chip on it.....interesting no MC hologram shown. It is always nice when a CC company uses TEAL on a CC...LOL should be interesting when it comes out!

odd_dog - looks like your ripe for two Chase Freedom Visas. Time for them to get you to the Visa Signature level. Also, FNB Omaha has the Vision Visa Signature Card with EMV Chip now (as of June 2014) so call the telephone number on the back of your FNBO Bucks Back Visa Card or send them a "Secured Message" (a new service) and request. You deserve the best!

Thanks Wanderer!! Nice to know SOMEONE is looking out for me!! LOL The one Freedom is signature (I put wrong image on my sig I guess!). The MC Freedom was switched over to a Visa - But NOT a signature...go figure, wondering if I should just combine them into the one Freedom Sig?? On the FNBO, I am worried about changing it - I have a custom Image on the card and do not want to lose that!!

Oh man. So this card is basically a $450 annual fee for 2x on restaurants and limited airport lounge access? Doesn't sound so appealing.

Well they are giving a $250.00 airline credit - and it can be for airfair also (not just incidental charges under $50.00) so if you can make use of that (any airline BTW and you do not have to "register") that brings the AF down to $200, not that much more than the TY premier card, 3X points on air and hotel, also they have TY point transfers to partners.....Is it the greatest card ever? NO but not horrible either....will miss the flight points and companion ticket, but loving the 60% savings on American flights......

Cancel the second Chase Freedom? Unless you absolutely have to, I wouldn't.

Those of us who are grandfathered into having two (or more) Freedom cards should keep them, if only for the 5% quarterly categories.

You can redeem TYP for 1.6c per point on AA and US flights.

Sorry Sorry should have clarified, TYP with Prestige are worth 60% more when booking American flights through TY travel portal.......

That is a nice looking card. Wow - i may just may have to get it. When I think about it, I already pay $125 for the TY Premier card. WIth the Prestige card, I can offset the annual fee with the $200 airline credit + $100 global entry.
