I always get so mad that the credit law making banks send out credit scores to try to help consumers understand fell short when it didn't require the same scoring even within the SAME BANK!

My denial letter today for Overstock.com from Comenity was EQ and a scoring of 479-898

my friend applied same day and received his letter today and it's on an EQ report also but a scoring system with 200's in it!

WTH!!!

I totally understand what you're talking about. It's ridiculous. They need just one credit score. That's it

Well, don't blame the banks so much. Consumers wanted more transparency when it came to elegibility, pricing and scores. Votes turned into elected officials, legislation was passed and bingo - there you have it. Banks were pretty much like ... you want scores? Well, here you go - oh by the way, they may or may not be FICO but enjoy!
