Chase Sapphire Card Visa Signature now with EMV???

Chase changed my Chase Sapphre WMC into Visa Signature card two months without any notice. I got my card yesterday. I noticed the Chase Sapphire Visa Signature came with EMV Chip. I thought only Chase Sapphire Preferred came with EMV Chip. There is piece of paper show how to insert the card into the card reader. I asked them to request the EMV for my Chase Sapphire WMC last year. They told me I need to upgrade my card to Chase Sapphire Preferred to get the EMV. I don't need it now.

I feel cheated, I didn't get a piece of paper documenting how to insert my CSP into the reader, they should refund my AF....

Chase has already started sending new cards with EMV. My boss got a new Slate with a chip.

Sorry to hear. I didn't expect they sent me the EMV Chip. You got no foriegn transaction fee on your card.

I think they're rolling out a few products at a time with EMV. I haven't gotten a new Freedom yet.

Fairly soon (in a year at least) all the cards will come with EMV, and it will stop being so exciting (like posting now "My Visa card has a hologram!!!")

I've seen a Freedom with EMV recently. I was thinking, what the?! Can't remember if it was signature or not.

At some point that was probably true but things change -- especially with the 2015 liability shift approaching.

I now feel like asking chase in SM if they can send me a CS with EMV lol. My Freedom got it when I asked and my Marriott and CSP both have one

I got my updated Freedom about two weeks ago, Visa Sig with EMV.

I just sent Chase a secure message asking if my sapphire visa signatute could be replaced with an emv version. 5 minutes, they later yes no problem! Only if cap1 was so prompt.
