Should I wait to apply for US Bank Cash + ?

I am thinking of applying for the US Bank Cash + over the phone.

As of last week, I showed 2 active credit cards (last used ~ 4-5 yrs ago) in my report - one with a 2K limit and the other, Chase Slate with 3K limit. However, last week i applied and was approved for 3 CR's SM MC $7,500 CL, Chase Freedom $5,000 CL and Discover It $3,500.

I have read that the card requires minimum $5,000 limit and the bank tends to be a little on the conservative side. So given that I only show $3K as the current highest limit and not much credit activity, should I wait until the 3 cards show on my report to apply for Cash + card? I really don't want their regular cash back card. My EX score in 2/14 was 785 and EQ (the one that Discover provides) as of last week was 745 I think. How long does it usually take for the 3 above mentioned CCC's to report?

US Bank likes to see 6 months of account history on any new accounts, and no inqs in 6 months. This is what an analyst told me this past Jan when I apped for it. I suggest waiting, but I wish you good luck if you don't.

they will report in a month or two, but the real issue now is that US Bank is INQ sensitive, I would camp out in the garden for 6 months, before you thinking about an AP for anything US Bank.

I would wait. Barclay tends to report new accounts rather quickly, and they will see the three new inqs and become wary, in my opinion.

Do INQ's show right away, or the bank has to report it first? how are Chase and Discover with reporting?

within seconds of the AP being submitted. Its hard to beat an INQ to your credit report, though some here do try..

Every time I've applied, inq's show up in a day or two.

You can have two app windows open and submit one after the other and still not beat the the first inquiry.
