Does Comentiy report credit limits???

I just checked my reports and noticed that 99% of my comenity accounts show the original tiny credit limits-- even though I've made purchases and had multiple credit limit increases since opening them.

So... I called them today to close a few that I don't use (it's just too much to keep track of). The woman had NO CLUE what she was talking about. She told me that "they all report the credit limits, unless the information changes. You'll have to call the CRA's to have them make the changes" Um.. WTH?

She did tell me, however, that comenity now has over ONE HUNDRED retail cards and they're still growing!! So, the list that's floating around is WAY off.

Anyway-- how do I REALLY get these things to report correctly?? Make a purchase? That's my best guess....

i haven't had that issue, but making a purchase and letting it post to the account is usually enough, a lot of the deferred promotion purchases won't actually post to the card for 90 days. Allowing a balance to report, and not paying it before reporting date, on the card should make it report to the credit bureaus, just pay before the due date and their should be no interest.

yeah I know the feeling just made purchases on 2 of my commentity cards just so they report, including using the brylane card, which i really didn't want to use again, but at least i bought a name brand product from them, that now has a $2050 CL. Be sure and google "company name" discount codes that exist for many of the stores that commentiy handles the credit cards for, never pay full price, especially for womanwithin, kingsize direct, brylane home.

You have to make purchases after receiving CLI or they usually won't report and update the new CL

jamesdwi: I am the internet coupon QUEEN!! I have purchased $400 (retail) at Kohl's for $40. Bow to me. LOL (ok, it was clearance prices, and I used a 30% off coupon, free shipping coupon, and my kohl's cash to get it down that low).

I'm just trying NOT to do any shopping right now.... I would really like a new water heater instead, lol

Mine are there..a few I don't use regularlly usually need a purchase to have the CLI post to the credit report...

Allowing a balance to report, and not paying it before reporting date, on the card should make it report to the credit bureaus, just pay before the due date and their should be no interest.

+1. AFAIK, you have to let a balance post in order for them to update the CRs with your CLIs.
