i was looking at my bills with a balance that was off. Once i went and checked my statement and notice the reason was this? *INTEREST CHARGE* PURCHASES REFUND ($129.87) credited back to my card. Werid ... This was after they've increased my credit limit so im wondering if that had anything to do with it or if they've also changed or lowered my APR without actknowledging me. Either way! way to go! I'm not complaining, i just never had an interest refund this high And yes it was my APR has changed. Statements after July 2014 i see my APR been changed from 23.99% APR to 18% so it seems i been credited from Jan - July. On their application for PayPal Extras it states ''For new accounts: Variable purchase APR is 19.99% or 23.99%.'' I guess they volunteerly lower your APR as you get approved for credit limit increases. Not sure. Im now going look back on my other cards to see if the APR been lowered without my knowledge. People freak out about high APR

If syncrony is lowering your APR automatically, maybe it's time for you to call your other cards to see if an APR adjustment is possible, as something in your credit has changed for the better.

Wow, you guys! I got a refund of $7.69. Wish I got a big one like you all! My statement hasn't cut yet, but I assume it's from the reduced APR as I've seen some other people talk about in this forum.

I would love one of those refunds in the hundreds!!

I just noticed the same thing when I recently paid off my PayPal Mastercard balance. The refund was $230 which caused me to go into a negative balance. Think I'm safe transferring the negative balance back to my bank account? I also saw a drop in my APR. Of course I will ask them, but I'm always leery of pleasant surprises like this.

The 18.24 apr goes back up to 23.99 and 26.99 as of 11/19/2014, at least for me.

It was mentioned at the end of my Sept/2014 statement.

I have about $5500 charged and will try to pay it all off before then.

So you might want to look at your recent statements before you start getting comfortable and charging it left and right or else you may end up getting slammed with some pretty steep interest charges.

This happened to me as well.

If you have a negative balance, a call to the automated system gives an option to send a check for the credit. I just received and cashed the check from syncrony bank for $932.30. It took less than a week.

I wonder if the transfer to Syncrony bank from GE capital unearthed the mistake.

Regardless....thank you very much Palpal/Syncrony...nice doing business with ya!
