topic BOA 99/500 Is it worth it? in Credit Cards

I have been on a long credit journey and rebuild. Enough so that I have obtain Discover, Amex, Chase cards with limits 3000 a piece. I feel like things are getting better. All my baddies are paid and its just a matter of having things removed. I have a Experian score of 660 and decided that I was going to app for a BOA card. I figured it was worth a shot. After reconning several times and ultimately being denied they offered the 99/500 card. My question is, is it worth to get this card as a means to get a foot in the door. Or is getting this secured card a step backwards in my credit journey?

It will unsecure withn a year if you reaaly need to get in with them. Personally I wouldn't and garden your current cards for at least 6 months before any more apps.

You have more than enough to garden. However, I always recommend BOA. They have been awesome to me and unsecured my secured at 6 months with great limit!

You have good cards already. If however you desire to enter BOA the $99/500 is a good entrance. After graduation you likely can change products but if there is an AF they likely will NOT remove it. Whether BOA has tagged you for life with no CLIs beyond is unknown. For myself I graduated but they have refused to move on other product improvements or CLIs and they do keep a list of nonperformer accounts even after the baddies falloff the CBs. They would NOT remove the AF. End result ,I closed the account and moved on.
