amex with lowest apr?

im gonna be applying for an amex soon and all i care about is a low apr. which card would you guys recommend?

Charge card. 0% APR for life.

lol.. you know what i mean i want a card where i can carry the balance and has a minimum payment option. i dont want a charge card

i guess its gonna be one of those threads where no one gives a straight answer. im guessing the Amex EveryDay or the Blue Cash Everyday card? are these the best options?

So you understand where I'm coming from....

Your file's going to determine their best rate offer. Checking each card, you'll see their lowest APR offered on that specific product. Whether they give you the lowest is up to your "financial fitness."

...and they'll put up with balances, but not indefinitely.

Have you tried looking at the website? They will tell you the lowest APR offered on each individual card. They don't just give out the lowest APR though. Your CR has to support you getting a low APR.

yes i already looked at that. i guess theres no other info to get from anyone. im gonna get the Blue Cash Everyday card. i was hoping there was another card with no rewards that has lower interest but i can find any. its like they make you take the rewards with a higher apr when i dont want that. thanks for the help guys

All Amex cards are rewards based.

*edit: except for their non MR charge cards.

First of all, AMEX BCE's APR can be from 12.99% to 21.99%. You won't know what APR you'll be getting beforehand.

Second of all, AMEX frowns upon those who makes minimum payment or those who carries balance over a long period of time. AMEX is known to respond to these people by doing FR or closing account right away.

Really, AMEX is a bad choice for carrying balance period.

+1. If low APR is a high priority, AMEX might not be the best match. A CU card would get you a lower APR.

However, to answer the OP's question, the lowest APRs on AMEX revolvers would be the BCE/BCP and Everyday CCs, at their best rate of 12.99% Of course, you may not necessarily be offered the best rate. Some of their revolvers (Costco TE, MB) only offer one rate to everyone who qualifies for the card.

im not able to provide proof of income so cu's are out of the question at this point. barclay ring is on my list thats my dream card. i want 1 card with each major company including amex. 12.99 apr is acceptable if i can get it one day thats why amex isnt crossed off my list. if they close my account for making minimum payments than screw them. il take my chances though

I'm seeing more of this and I don't get it. Yes, you need some issuer diversity, but once you have enough of that (and that can be major and minor issuers, and 3-4 is enough IMO), get cards that make sense for you. Here you are trying to choose an Amex just to get an Amex, and finding that there isn't a good match. Until there is, don't bother about Amex!
