I give up Discover!

I applied like 2 months ago and they pulled EQ the worst and wouldn't reconsider with another credit report unless EQ was frozen and they never accessed it to begin with (their words)

So I froze EQ this morning and applied and got instantly denied.

Called in and he said it was cancelled because we couldn't access credit report.

I said can you pull another one, EX would be great.

He said I can and it looks like it would be EX pull.

Put me on hold and came back denied!

I do have a Joint Discover with my partner with $9k limit which we tried for sp cli earlier this week and it wanted hp so we said no but I can't get a personal discover alone to save my life!

Looks like your strategy will have to wait for your own card. Unfortunately, they are not ready to welcome you yet with open arms. I thought that's what that zap and smoke was earlier... hmmm... trip over the electric fence?

no, ill wait for letter and then maybe call but I find the computer system pretty much the end all be all with discover credit decisions.

CA, Doesn't Discover send out a robo denial letter. I was denied a few months back and called after I received the letter. The CA went into detail above and beyond what the denial letter reason(s) was. Same with Chase, in fact the CA asked me a few questions about my current revolving accts, employment etc.

Discover declined me over and over. I finally applied for the card (a 3rd time) with the intention to recon the denial when I got it. 3x a charm, they ended up approving me the last time, lol.

maybe they are INQ sensitive when you have more than 50 INQ's and a dozen new TL's yes i'm probably understading your addiction

Discover is the only card i cannot obtain. Im in the garden for a year and feel like i can get in then. Fico simulator has me at 760 in 6 months, and then 766 in 12 months.

I just got my Discover IT in June 2014 after several failed attempts with them pulling TU once a year.. In June, they pulled EQ, although they were hounding me with pre-selected apps and SP's on EQ. They gave me 3500 with 0% for 14 months and then a rate of 14.99%.

After the third statement, they've opened up or allowed me to ask for a CLI. No thanks, not for another HP!

Are you referring to doing it by the LUV button? The system will let you know if it requires a HP. Then you can either continue or back out. If it doesn't prompt you, then it most likely did a SP. At least that's been my experience.

Discover always want me to do a joint app. I want one of my own. I haven't tried in about 2 months. I will wait until the summer of 2015

Same boat CA! At least you got them to pull something else, they flat out refused to pull anything but EQ for me! Now when I see their commercials I change it in fury! hahaha
