Slow Barclaycard Mail?

The DW app'ed for Arrival+ on the 26th. It was supposedly sent on the 28th.

The card still hasn't arrived... But letters from other countries sent after the 28th have...

Do Barclays use a horse drawn carriage to deliver cards, or is it likely lost?

I'm used to Amex sending cards overnight...

Sent by pigeon express and there's a transfer point where the turtles pick it up, eventually transfers again to pony express.

I app'd for the Arrival+ on 10/6. I didn't pay the extra $30 for overnight delivery. They mailed the card on 10/10. It arrived in today's mail (yesterday was a post office holiday).

Your DW's card should have arrived by now, assuming you are located in the US. I am sure the holdup is with the post office, not Barclay's. There is still a reasonable chance it will find its way home to your mailbox. However, if it doesn't show up soon, I would notify Barclay.

I would have him contact barclay immediately, I got approved with my card on 9/24 and received my card on 10/04.

DW called Barclays and they told her to wait until the end of this week.

That would make it almost 3 weeks since they claimed to have sent the card.

They don't seem concerned about fraud, but we are. We live in SF. Even if they sent it from PA, it should only take max 5 days First Class mail.

i'm in bay area as well, so your wife should've gotten her card. i hope she made sure that the card isn't activated yet.

It hasn't been activated, but the online interface has started insisting on activation in angry words and colors.

Which is why I don't understand why the CSRs are nonchalant.

Upon reading on this forum how long it takes to get your credit card from Barclay I chose to pay the fed ex fee and I received the card 2 days later. Sometime in Sept I was notified that card data was possible compromised and I would be getting a new card in the mail. Whenever I opened my acct page I would also see the "activate card now" and it was about 2 wks later before I received the card.

Both of my cards came VERY fast, the most recent one this month came within a couple days.

And while Barclays is a UK bank, the card is not issued overseas.

it took 14 days for my barclay card to be sent to me from pennsylvania. I live in NJ so yeah they are pretty slow.

I'm in a tiny town in CO, and received my last card 4-5 days after recon. The first was less than a week.

I was about to post a thread asking the same thing... Got an email saying my Sallie Mae was in the mail 9/19, still waiting for it. I'm in NH.
