Hope that Diners will be around in 5 yrs:(

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for everyone whose gotten approved lately with the Diners Club madness, and I'm a bit jealous, lol!! I have a 1 yro BK7 with all my accounts that were IIB still showing and won't be off reports till 2019. (Sighs heavily).... Hope the Diners card is still available to apply for then they may take it off the market again like they did before they just recently reintroduced the cards back. I'm afraid that they are going to do this again after the mass hysteria and thousands of approvals from all the credit boards, and ill miss my opportunity to apply. Oh well...I guess I could always try and apply, knowing ill be declined and then try to recon on the grounds that I want their card BAD, and want it before they quit taking apps again for several years lol!

Don't get yourself down over it. The future is long and we have some time before we hear about how good the card program really is. Unless it changed, I know of some people turned off because they can't make a bill payment online with it just yet.

It is a long haul. I've sat out several hysterias like duck for example and been denied on others like NASA and Diners. That's just what happens when you rack up nearly 20 INQs on every CRA in 1 year. It'll be fine and not to worry, the next hysteria is right around the corner.

It's been a great year for me and it's simply my time to garden for a year. I feel super duper confident there will be plenty to apply for in 2016!

You guys are probably right, but the only problem is that with every new crazed card hysteria, I'm not eligible for any of them, lol!! Bk too new, tons of inquiries due to rebuilding, and new accounts. I'm gardening, and just trying to do what I can to get my IIB stuff off early.

I am very fortunate to have the credit I do now post bk, don't get wrong, I'm very thankful, but I guess we always want what we can't have, and all my last denials are telling me to garden and learn patience, which isn't my strong suit at all, lol

Yeah...hype frenzy is tough. I remember a while ago not having good enough credit to get the iPhone when it first came out back in 2007. I'll never go through that crap ever again.

reading this forum doesn't help when you're trying to garden. I wasn't around the duck card hype, but I did try for NASA and got crushed. Just hang in there, I'm pretty sure that there will be more "new card of the month" in the future that you can always apply for.

Pizza do you have all bureaus frozen?? That has helped me tremendously when I had the app itch really bad.

Don't worry. I feel your pain. I wasn't even old enough to actually get a Diners Club card so I apped for nothing there basically, but thankfully no HP was ever recorded on my TU CR, so no loss there. NASA FCU on the other hand I did app for but got denied for accelerating revolving debt. I'm just gonna stick with the lenders that have treated me the best like Amex and Chase and stick to my guns there. It's especially a bit harder when you have a thin file.

Sorry about the denials, that's stinks I've been getting denied lately too, so its time to dig my heels in and stay firmly planted in the garden, I have too if I want to be successful at getting the cards I want later. Victory will once again be ours!! Lol!! Next year... When you are of age to apply to Diners... You would have had a whole another year of gardening and proving to them you need their card, and your scores with also be better too!! You can do it!!! Garden with us!!

Sure thing. I think things will be much easier once I'm able to get that backdated BCE in January that will really help with my AAoA. Despite some of those denials of mine, I have gotten plenty of the cards I've always wanted to have and I couldn't be happier about that. I'm basically avoiding any EX pulls until January at least.

I am waiting/gardening to go for the lower AF one as the lounge benefit is what I will mainly use

I was taking an look see at the dc premeir, but i don't really see benefit over say spg. Educate me where i am missing what is so great about DC cards :-)

I've been trying to figure out whats so great about the DC cards also. I glanced at their site and couldn't justify the AF. Can someone give me a breakdown please? I almost feel myfico-peer-pressured into applying for it.

Mongs.... The whole Diners hysteria I think was about the big limits they were handing out... Like, duck-beaver-NASA. Most of everyone was applying for the premier $95af. Since I don't have Amex, and not qualified to have one for several yrs due to my bk, I'm not qualified to compare the two for you... Premier vs SPG....

lounge access at affordable AF, no FTF, on a useful network (not like Amex or Diners int'l) ...these are the main benefits and well worth to pay the AF for me 4 - 5 x lounge access at home airport per month and many other destinations make this card valuable to me. Star Gold lounge is not as nice as Diners lounge ..lol

I agree.

I've asked myself the question if the relatively loose U/W right now is just to garner the MAX amount of AF paying cardmembers Q1 of re-opening new apps.

I'm holding back on this one as I have enough AF cards already.

You're hoping in 5 years. I'm hoping 3 months after I can apply. They are the worlds first credit card after all. But when myfico members get done with. May be nothing left. As far as resources.
