PC Barclays MC Rewards to Ring or I'm closing it!!

So I've had my rewards for 1.5 years, used it regularly paid, etc... Have had 3 auto CLI. now that I have gotten some good cards with larger limits and 0%, I have paid off MC rewards and am not really sure what to do with it. Can I ask for a PC to ring? This 25% interest is keeping me from using this card at all anymore and the intrest rate does give me some heartburn..... I have asked for a few CLI and all have been denied because my "recent auto CLI".... What do I do with this?

Transfer you CL to your US Airways and close it is probably your best bet

It doesn't hurt to ask if you can PC it. If not, then +1 to prior suggesstion of reallocating CL to US Airways

So will closing this card reflect poorly on me? I really want sallie Mae at some point....

Closing it will only hurt your AAOA after 10 years. If you transfer your CL, it will have no impact on your utilization, but your impact your AAOA after along time in the future. No near term downfalls imo

Edit: errr is it 7 or 10 wills it will continue to report... tired, someone will correct if not 10 and 7 instead

Nixon, I can see you are still in distress about the SM card lol... As others stated it doesn't hurt to try on your wifes card I believe, they worse they can say is no, right?

That's an idea too.... I don't want to apply for anything though.... I'm gardening now.... But it is okay to smell the flowers outside of the garden as long as they're not picked right?...

What has been anyone's experience with SM vs calling and talking to CSR? Better results either way?

talk to EO, rather than front line CSR, because CSR told me I couldn't pc my rewards card to arrival.

I'll give their Recon team this much. They're consistent..

I may have to settle for an AU Sallie Mae if they allow the PC.

ring and sallie mae are 2 tough cards to get. i would like to see if 1.5 years of BRMC use will get you Ring with high 600 scores... go for it and please keep us posted.

I will give it a try and see what happens. Either I will get a PC or transfer limit to US AIR. I will let you know how that works out!!
