Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am here today to share my progress during my stay here. I started sad, depressed, lost... I could go on easily but i wont. I now know enough to guide others all thank you every single one of you on this board. I have some favorites but i wont list them as it my stir some jealousy .

I have managed to get rid of 5 baddies(2 CO, 2 Collection, 1 Public Record), and neatly organized my reports one by one patiently. I only have one late payment on a closed account with providian which they wont remove. But its a nearly 6 years old late.

Begining early 2006 i could not even get a secured Credit Card. Not because i did not make enough money, but because my credit was so ugly, so bad, they almost called the security guard to escort me out every time. I started with GW letters and tried to reopen some old accounts at fauld and managed to ged baddies deleted and account broughto current status. Today I am offered credit lines that I turn down too high for my liking.

My Cards:
American Epress Plutinum Charge Card
American Express Blue Cash $10,000.00

Discover More $8,000.00
Bank Of America Visa Signature $18,000.00

Chase Freedom Cash $5,000.00

Carnival Sea Miles MC $15,000.00
Citi Devident MC $500.00 ???? <--- whats this all about?

I got married this past Januarry, was able to get a good Mortgage with Chase withing 2 - 3 months following the various advice on this board. I am working on my Utilization (30% right now). Hopefully my scores Fico scores will hit 700 jut like my fakos, all in the 700's.

Lessons Learned:
1. Be patient, very patient and be nice
2. Don't be afraid of trying a GW Letters or other suggested methods here.
3. Read anything that "Tuscani","Brammy" and a few others post. Even if its bad hahaha. just read it Because it will probably increse your score just from doing so.
4. Join "The Sleigh Center" if you can't stop applying. I never needed it, but I love being there.

Creditstudent, I went to the court where it was registered and inquired about it. They told me that it was payid by someone (not me) or dismissed. So I just paid $15.00 for a copy of the payment/dismissal document and wrote a nice letter to the CRAs requesting a delete.

All 3 CRAs delete the account withing 3-5 days.

That is a great story. I have come a long way since 8/05 (BK), where I had to beg 1st Premier for a card. I used 4 rebuilder cards, 1st Premier, Orchard, Tribute, and Credit One.

Now with scores of EX: 702, TU: 696, and EQ: 647,

I have been approved for mortgage at 6.376, and refi a car loan at: 6.5 (CCCU)

I have now, way too many credit cards that I will never use but for gas (3 weeks of app. sprees..I don't recommend):

US Airways: 3,000

Hooters: 5,200

CCCU: 5,000

Wamu: 2,500

B & N: 3,000

Oregon CU: 1,500

Travelocity: 3,000

EmigrantDirect: 3,000

Carnival SeaMiles: 3,000

did you have hooters before cccu? if so did they give you a hard time about it, ask you close it?

No, not at all.....I applied around the same time, so the approvals happened pretty closely together.

I am glad that I have a credit union....I was able to refi my car at 6.5%.

phumanr, That is great WTG. I hope we are getting more and more people getting a handle on their credit, or at lest on their score . I applied for Junny Carnival Sea Miles and got $15,000.00K Limit, i only applied trying to fix my Utilization. Probably will never used it.

What type of credit limits did you start with and how did you go about getting such nice limits in such a short time? I mean, did you instantly ask for an increase and how often did you get increases?

MsRN2000, I started with a $300.00 CrapOne Card and i was so mad at them i closed it within weeks of getting a $1,400.00 secured BoA Platinum Card. 6 Months down the road BoA became a reculagular card and sent my 1.4K back in the mail. Which I deposited back into their account. I had to wait for another Year to get an increase. After getting rid of all the mess on my reports i call for a review and they gave me 25K CL and i got shy and refused it (too new to credit, afraid really) so i took 15K CL instead from 1.4K I though it was good enough.

Tuscani, I can't find it. i don't know why, but everytime i see on of your posts i get a 5 Points increase on my Equifax. hahaha
