This is just insane ! I'm still confused about how they got the cards to work. But more important, stealing from a bank is federal, you would think they would attempt to gear up. Stupid criminals !

They aren't too stupid. They chose wealthier cities in Morris Cty., and Morris Cty is very wealthy overall. I guess they were predicting full machines.

Yeah, but come on...jail time for a few thousand dollars ? If they even got that much before the arrests. Sorry, I value my freedom too much.

Granted the scheme was different but just not well thought out in my mind. Cameras, fingerprints, video tutorials for goodness sake, and way too many players.

But I'm sure they'll talk it up good in the mess hall, while digging into their meals with sporks for the next 7-15yrs. I'm terrible!

Never under estimate the stupidity of most crooks, greed seems to silence any common sense.

- Yep, I spent overnight in jail in the early 80s for DUI. It not only cured me of driving under the influence, it cured me of considering anything that could possibly land me in there again.

Out of idle curiosity is there a line that you would take the shot at?

A few thousand isn't anything life changing for any American, but 10m and life in a non-extradition country?

I admittedly sort too many things into right and wrong but even I would probably at least napkin plan out the opportunity if I saw it, and I am a little bit curious if I would take it further even if I doubt it as personally assuming I don't find someone and raise children I am closing in on my much lower than 10m walk away number anyway.

That said if it were 10 years ago without money in the bank and a quarter of a million dollars in debt (and it wasn't the good kind at all, I flirted with a BK back then) it might have been more interesting even for me.

I think we all have a bit of outlaw deep down! Years ago, min 8-9 figures, a solid exit strategy and I would have seriously given it consideration.
