Experian enters income & employment verification spaces with new solutions

Experian announced its expansion of services and the release of its new suite of real-time income and employment verification products.

"The products can offer credit card, personal loan, auto finance and mortgage providers as well as tenant screeners and employment screeners with “near-instant access” to tens of millions of active records to verify an applicant’s income and employment status in origination, account review and prequalification decisions."

HHmmm...wonder how accurate it will be? They have a few things they report on me that aren't. But nothing that would affect my scores much.

I'm very interested in this as well. Right now their competitor (EQ) has a lock on this market with "The Worknumber" any ideas how "the worknumber" gets all that information?

It's an HR function to keep tabs on current trends regarding payscales for different job types in different markets so wages can be adjusted as needed to remain competitive. Instead of having their own staff try to do that a lot of companies outsource that function to TheWorkNumber and that function requires that they share their own relevant employee information.

If you've been previously validated as someone with a legitimate need to access their databases and you have permissible purpose you can query that employee information.
