Called today to switch mine and I learned that you can request it online. Here are the options for people with an existing checking account, or new members. I like the look of the cards.

I got this email from AOD the other day.

Having the AOD Visa makes this a little moot, but I'm still undecided! Is it just me or does 2.5% back on debit seem really good (gotta do 12 transactions a month)??

@unsungivy That's odd. That's what AOD's Kasasa rates were before the big myFICO rush. Since then they have reduced them to 1.75%. So if they're offering this to you now, I would check to see if it's a limited-time offer.

I actually have the AOD Kasasa Cash Checking.....if you keep larger balances in your checking, it pays 1.75% dividends on your average checking total. You come out better than the Kasasa CashBack Debit account. But the Kasasa Cash Checking also used to be 2.50% before they nerfed it.

So I would call and check on this if I were you. If it's time limited, you'd need to know when it reverts back to the 1.75%.

@TekkenQQ7 This is the checking account I opened with Affinity. It's always been there. I'm actually thinking about switching to the dividend checking even though it's only 0.25%.....I don't use debit for purchases (except with my AOD account to meet the dividends there) so it doesn't really benefit me with Affinity.

I use the 1% debit card once every 4 months or so just so they won't close it down for non-use, and I have to remind myself to do that....lol

@Taurus22 when I opened my account back in 2018 it wasn't an option. If you want to switch, there's an option to request the switch without submitting another application though online portal.
