(update-Okay, just got off the phone with Equifax. They blamed Discover and Disco says No way...I believe Disco. So I'm turning off all alerts...cancelling subscriptions, who needs all that.)

Freebies like Credit Karma, Wallethub, etc. and some of the paid like Exp., Eq. and MyFico

I have gotten an updated balance & utl% 5 extra times since Feb 24 on my Discover card. She said it could be sites like CK, it that true? She also said to make sure nothing odd was going on and to call them.

Anyone else notice this?

Edit to add: I keep getting either text or email alerts....showing my score to bounce all over the place, messing up my Azeo. that's all

Monitoring services cannot cause any changes. If you are using multiple websites to monitor your CR, it's to be expected to get various updates at different times, plus different CRAs update at different time.

If you are using only wallethub and CK, that's easily 3 notifications for single event, done at different times.

I am fairly certain you're using more than just those two. Very common in early months ...

If you let go of AZEO, you wont have to worry about any of this. Had to throw that one in there

Remember that alerts don't cause your scores to change or move all over the place, only score-changing data on your CR that changes can do that. There are alerts out there that won't impact your score even 1 FICO point. There are plenty of non-alertable events that can change on your CR that can cause a score change, but you may not know about them or their score impact due to not getting an alert.

Remember that alerts don't cause your scores to change or move all over the place, only score-changing data on your CR that changes can do that. It looks like Discover updated my balance to Experian 3x's in March. Equifax was updated 4x's in March.

UPDATE to the update.....I'm closing my Exp and Equifax monitoring... don't need all that, esp the alerts. Information Overload

It sounds like this is a Discover-related issue for you, where Discover for whatever reason is reporting your account to the bureaus much more often than would typically be expected, which is every 30 days following the statement close. I would simply call Discover and see if you could speak to a credit specialist or someone in the know about why that could be happening. I don't think turning off your alerts is the solution here, as that's not going to eliminate the root cause of the issue and could prevent you from then receiving other worthwhile alerts.

I think you're right. Not gonna worry about it....unless it keeps happening. 6 since Feb. 24th just seems odd. But, I'm odd...so why not.
