Experian score finally moved

My score has been dormant for months. I got an alert today that my score went from good to very good. It went up 8 points I know not a big leap but it moved to 743.

Nothing has changed other than maybe some accounts hit one year mark, that's all I can see, my citibank card reported after being dormant and it's a year old along with Navy and penfed.

It was nice to see it move even if it was only slightly.

Congrats on the increase, I wouldn't say 8 points isn't a huge leap though, that is a nice jump in points. Whenever my score goes up 8 points I am really happy and consider it to be a big jump.

Congratulations! Any gain is a win if you ask me but you’re inching closer and closer to that optimal rate score!

If it wasn't for those mortgage lates which they will not remove, I know I would be high 700s maybe even hit that 800.

The last time citi had reported previously was Oct 2018.

Glad to hear your score went up 8 points. Keep in mind that good verses very good stuff isn't relevant, as it's just front-end software assigning arbitrary "ratings" to your score.

My Experian score has been "dormant" for months, too. I suspect what that really means is I've reached a plateau. Going beyond that will require some old baddies to drop off completely before it will go any higher. That will happen in due course!

This can be the case when one reaches the ceiling of the scorecard that they're in. I think I went about a year with my TU FICO 8 score at 768, which seemed to be related to the dirty scorecard that I was in.

Yeah for Mom! I went thru the same thing earlier in the year. TU stayed below 740 for 14 months all thru 2018 until it finally moved past 740 or 6 pts. Its frustrating. But take what you can get.

Experian is my slow mover as well. Ughhhh! I’m only at a 701, it took me forever to get here. If I eat too many carbs or skip my daily prayer, it will drop a point or two. It’s so fickle
