What time of the day do the credit bureaus update balances?

I am waiting on my balances to be updated with the credit bureaus. Do the credit bureaus update nightly? (I'm trying to determine what time in the day to run my reports.) I have just paid down my util from 103% to 50% so I am a little anxious to see the effects on my scores.

Have you waited until your CCs have reported? It doesn't happen immediately after you make the payment. CCs only report once a month, typically on the statement date.

They haven't reported yet. The cycle date is was a few days ago on several of them so it should have already happened so that's why I'm wondering if it updates at night.

Not necessarily. Once they report, it normally takes several more days for the CRAs to update your reports to reflect the current data. I don't know if they do nightly updates, but honestly the time of day they update doesn't really matter when you can't even pin it down to one particular day.

In my experience, EX usually updates within 3 days of the CC reporting. TU follows within a week, and EQ can take 10-20 days on occasion. YMMV.
