WAMU CC Fico Score

All,

Quick question, I have a WAMU CC and it provides a FICO score which uses my Transunion CR. Is this the real deal FICO or is it a FAKO(it says FICO)? Thank you in advance.

It is a real FICO, but it's not the same version you can buy here. It is a bankcard-enhanced FICO score (known as a PFICO). It uses a range of 250-900 (instead of the classic FICO range of 300-850). Your credit card accounts are weighted more heavily in this scoring formula than they are in the classic FICO scoring formula.

So if you have several credit cards with perfect histories, but baddies on other types of accounts, your PFICO will probably be higher than your FICO, and vice versa.

Most CCCs use either the bankcard-enhanced FICO or the classic FICO when making lending decisions.

Hi SSgtUSMC. It is a real, bonified FICO score, with a caveat.

It is the bankcard enhanced version of FICO(commonly called PFICO)....not the Classic version that we can get. We are not able to purchase the PFICO version, sadly to say.
