7 Lousy point increase on a 3% util from11% previous util.

Well, I have to say that I'm pretty much disappointed that I only received a 7 point increase for paying down my util to 3% from 11%...

I was expecting 10-20 point increase...

If I remember form other posts of yours, your scores are pretty high, no?

Once your scores are way up there, each individual point is harder and harder to come by. FICO has a tendency to "try" to revert scores to the mean, so someone with a lower score may get a larger boost than someone with a higher score, even for taking the same action.

Not surprising. Util's effect on FICO scores goes asymptotic at around 10%. So you were right on the point of diminishing returns.
