The months from 4/2023 to 7/2023 when they didn't report don't matter. Your DOFD is 9/2022.

IIRC, EQ actually lists a a DOFD on your credit report, so you should be able to look and see what DOFD is being reported. At least that was the case for me.

I have a card that was charged off but I've been making payments on with a payment plan. I'm just wondering when the account will fall off my report if I have the following dates:

- 09/2022: 30 days late

- 03/2023: charge off

- 10/2025: payment plan finished (pif)

Will the account fall off 7 years after 9/22, the first negative remark? Or will it fall off 7 years after 3/23, when it was charged off? Or 7 years after 10/25, when the account will be paid off? Currently every month it is being reported as charge off.

9/2029, 7 years after DOFD, assuming your account was never brought current after the initial 30 day late.

However, you may be able to get early exclusion by several months from EX and TU. I had a CO due to fall off in 3/2024 that got excluded in late 2023 from EX and TU without me even asking. EQ, on the other hand, allowed the original creditor to reage the DOFD by 3 months in an attempt to keep the CO on my report longer. Basically, the opposite of EE. The more generous posters here thought it was simply an error, but I don't believe that for a second. I disputed it and they deleted it, but only after several calls and arguing my case with their "customer service" manager, who actually said, "It's only 3 months, deal with it."

I mention all this just to say it's a YMMV situation.

It was never brought current, but there are a few months after it was charged off where there is no information reported. I can confirm the lender never sold the debt but they have a collector collecting on it.

So my report actually says

3/2023: charge off

4/2023 to 7/2023: not reported

8/2023: charge off

and it is listed as charge off every month after 8/23
