A single 150 day late was costing me 63 points on EQ 8 just before it aged off at 6 yrs 8 months.

Thanks for the data point.

A 60 to 70 point gain is typical for a dirty file going clean when an aged 120 or 150 day late is cleared. By comparison, a file going clean when an aged 90 day late falls off might add 40 to 50 points.

Funny how that works, where late payments can have a massive effect considering they're one if not the most important parts of a score.

I get "settled in full".

I get "delete".

But, to wipe out a payment this far behind, that's a great data point to observe. You still carried a nice score even with that hanging over your head.

If a final old 150 falling of can achieve 60-70 points, and 90 may garner 40-50, then what is your SWAG on a last old 60 falling off? Somewhere in the 20-30 range?

Yes, assuming no other lates remain. Score boost and be influenced by file/scorecard. If the last late string falling off includes a 6 year old 60 day; I'd estimate 25-30 points. If the last late is only an old 30 day, probably 20 points.

If other types of derogatories remain on file, they may mute score boost.
