Finally 1 score over 700 !!!!

I'm so psyched - my last Student Loan collection aged off my report and I finally have 1 score over 700. Ex now at 701.

And the really neat thing is that you are with us here on this forum, and thus have learned what it took to get that 700, and more importantly, what it takes to soar even higher!

Thank you RobertEG. I didn't believe that I could come this far since joining myFICO last July. I am in it for the long haul and am paying it forward by helping my siblings as well. They first thought I was a bit obsessed with this but no longer.

I GOT MY FIRST 700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today's FICOS: TU 684 EQ 665 EX 709!!!!!!!!!

(I'd insert a big grin smiley face, but I don't know how!)

This is with Amex Delta Sky Miles (7500CL) reporting as a new accounts, no amounts due.

Since my last post here, I did go ahead and transfer the Orchard balances to the Amex Blue, and I moved around some CLs with Amex to do that.

I took all but $1000 from Skymiles and put 6500 to the Blue for a total of $9600. Wanted to do that since I was doing the BT on that card. Once I pay it down a bit, I'll probably do some more moving of the CL.

I have to say, Amex has been very helpful ...their customer service is awesome! I pray that this new relationship will prove to be mutually satisfying!!

So I dont know what will happen when the Orchards show up at 0, and the Blue shows up with the 2400 BT, and Green reports.

Utilization is shown at 18%, tho reports have a little red flag by "new accounts". Shows a total of 5, which includes my mortgage from 10-07, Old Navy from 12-07, and then Amex, Discover and Walmart on April 08. Inqs for those of course varied by CRA. From 06 til my mortgage, had '0' inqs.

But for the moment, I have to say, I'm not too upset with what's happened so far, since TU is the only one that dropped and then just by 3 points.

Side note: I ran reports today because I got scorewatch alert advising score was up 1 point to 658. It had dropped 7 points a few weeks back due to an inquiry being added that I hadnt done (some bank I never heard of!) , I disputed it and they removed it right away, but I never saw the points back. I went from 662 to 655, then got a couple of points back when new Walmart card showed up. Decided to run full report and saw score at 665! I was thrilled because this is my highest EQ in the last 3 years!

Just think it's interesting, though, that today's score alert showed by score at 658, but when I ran the report, my score is 665?!?!?!

Anyway, just wanted to share these glad tidings! I know I could not have got to this point without the wisdom , help and encouragement of my fellow forum members!!!!!!!!!

I saw the subject and thought I'd add my 2 cents. Actually, blow my own horn would be more precise!

I was so excited about my own good fortune that it didnt dawn on me that I was that I didnt even congratulate you and just came right in with my bragadocious self!

Doesnt it feel good, though, to break that 700 barrier!!?? I cant believe it! My lowest was 563, so breaking 600 was neat, but this 700 is really cool, even if I do lose a few points when other cards report. At least I'll know the potential is there!! And according to the simulator, if I can get that BT balance paid down by $1200, my score increases well into the 700s, so I am really psyched now!!! And DH didnt even have a score before, and has now got a FICO TU of 726, so we are really encouraged. We absolutely could not have gotten this far withouth this forum!!! It has been a true Godsend for us and I am so very, very grateful!!

You should be excited and I'm with you regarding the potential. I was a bit disappointed to see my eq down 8 points but if SW rationale proves to be correct in that I was "re-bucketed" then the potential is even greater.

2 of my lost points gained on EQ so slowly but surely inching upwards again................... I just can't please TU and EQ so will be patient and let everything age like a fine wine.

Can I join in with the 700 Club celebrations?? I just found out yesterday that I have gone from 'nothing in the 700s' (a week ago) to 'two scores over 700' - that came as very welcome news indeed!

Congrats to everyone who has got there - long may the score-improving continue!!
