I had a Ch 7 BK discharged two years ago. My rebuild is going well but I've noticed my Experian score is often up to 50 points lower than Equifax and TU. Same FICO8. I've noticed on my reports it notes for Experian there were "Charge Off" worst delinquency noted for some of the BK accounts. The thing is I was never late and filed while all were current.

All three bureaus have the BK noted. TU and Equifax show OK for all months until closed with the BK. But Experian shows a CO (Charge Off) for the last month. I'm guessing that's the problem. (See picture).

so I went to the Experian website and pulled my report. They say OK for every month. No CO anywhere. Nonetheless I disputed the accounts in question and included screenshots of the MyFico pages showing CO. They came back they don't show that. So I'm not sure where MyFico is getting it from.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to try and fix this?

@CaptainConcorde wrote:

Their disclosure showing “OK” through closure of the account is the data actually furnished to lenders, which is why your dispute didn’t result in a change.

The “worst delinquency” shown on MyFICO is where the error is. It doesn’t mean Experian is reporting a CO and being no lender pulls reports from MyFico... it's irrelevant.

During BK rebuilds, Experian scores can lag Equifax and TransUnion on the same FICO model because each bureau can tweak Fico algorithms to suit their preferences. This is also why you'll almost never see three identical scores at the same time from EX, TU & EQ.

Disputing it is chasing a ghost. Being it doesn't actually exist in your official EX report, there's nothing to dispute. Time plus new positive history is the real fix here.
