EX reporting new account before I knew I was approved

I pulled my CRs today, through TC, and I have a new account showing on EX. It is a BoA CC with a $2500 CL. I applied, online, and BoA said they would have to further review the app to see if I was approved. I still have been notified that I was approved yet it is already showing on my EX CR.

I am going to be really happy if I got approved with the 2.5k CL because that is much better than what I currently have (CLs: $200, $500, $500).

congratulations. My B of A accounts all have statement dates of the 18,19, 20 th so it makes sense that they would report. You hit the timing just right.

If I did get approved that means my util is be around 4% instead of 8%! I know that probably won't effect my score but it still feels good.

dude, you're approved. boa is fast to report, even if you get a cli mid cycle they post it right now.

congrats and don't forget to attempt a cli at activation. i went from 1k to 12k just by asking.

imducky, what should I say when I call to activate the card? Should I just ask if there is any way I can get a higher CL?

i just mentioned that i would love to take advantage of the 0 rate. she asked how much, i said at 0 i'd put my mortgage on it. she laughed, so i followed up w/well nat city gave me 12 and my cu just gave me 10. can you come close to that? put me on hold about 2 min, came back congrats 12k.

i did throw a bunch of acculades about how boa was a "made it" account and this was my 3rd or 4th attempt in the last 2 years, also the pre-approval said 1.5k and i really didn't want to re-age my account history, but took the plunge when the pre-approval expired and showed back up for 5k.

be aware that this can result in an additional inq, usually tu.

Ok. I will try it and see what happens. I will explain how I would like it to be my primary card but with the current CL that may not be possible.
