So the scores from here are about what mortgage lenders would pull?

Also, when I go apply for a home loan, do I need a FICO score from each credit reporting agency or will one do? Do I need to bring a score when I apply since they pull one anyway? I'm wanting to home shop asap but I know I need to get a preapproval first - I'm a first time buyer and trying not to get screwed...

I thought FICO scores only went up to 750. My TU score from their site was 885...this doesn't seem correct.. how can I find out what a mortage lender would use?

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forums!

The TU score from their regular site is a FAKO with a higher ceiling. You can get your TU FICO from www.transunioncs.com (note the "cs") or here from myFICO.

Sorry you got burned; there are lots of companies making money off folks who don't realize the difference. There isn't a way to convert FAKO's to FICO's, but your FICO is probably pretty good, too.

I think that the 885 is out of a possible 934. Sorry you got hooked by the FAKO. As HTSU stated, if there are no baddies, your FICO is probably pretty good as well. Before purchasing your FICO from here, be sure to google myfico discount codes. You can get 15% or 20% off of the purchase.

Oh, and I missed first time through: max FICO is 850, not 750.

Although EQ seems to think that my personal max FICO EQ is 750.

mortgage lenders generally use the middle of your three FICO scores.

You can buy your EQ and TU scores here on myfico, but EX scores are no longer available to US consumers.

But if there are 0 baddies on your report, and each CRA has the same info, all three scores should be very similar.
