Was there any type of settlement agreement in writing? Even when a CA refuses to PFD, sometimes they will agree to change certain reporting comments, such as late or CO.

I have some charge offs that were recently settled, but unfortunately I was unable to get pay for delete. The CA's are showing the status of these accounts as "120 days or more past due" rather than settled. They are reporting the zero balance so I was wondering if the status comments are hurting my FICO scores. Only EQis reporting it this way. TUis not. My TU score is 603 (up from 480 in Jan '09) and my EQ score is now 540 (up from 488 in Jan '09). I do not have my EX score since they do not provide it anymore. With wondering if this was causing the difference in scores.

Any comments like "was a charge-off", "paid charge-off" or even "settled" continue to ding your score by a big deal. You could try GWing them over and over to ask them to remove. If that doesn't work, some have had success by sending a PFD for the difference owed.

Are you saying that you paid a CO, and the OC is contiunuing to report later account delinquenes beyond that date, apparently now of an increase to 120 days?

Once an OC does a CO or refers to a CA, monthly account delinquencies no longer can increase, for the account is closed. A CA cannoot report a 120 day late, period.
