Whether the 1987 account is a revolving account, or an installment account is probably where most of that value comes from on TU. Either way you have good payment history, on a positively closed account so that will certainly help. It is surprising that it makes a 100 point dfference though.

Do you have differences in identity between the two bureaus? (extra ways your name shows, or a ssn that is in error?) These things can also cost you score points.

EQ vs TU FICO?

Okay. I'm kinda doing the happy dance right now. My one collection FINALLY came off of TU, and my TU FICO jumped from 673 to 776 (over 100 points! Woohoo!) My question is: why didn't the same thing happen w/EQ?? When the collection came off of EQ, I didn't even realize it because my score did not increase at all. In fact, it dropped (either because of new CCs or reporting CC balances). It's rebounded since I paid the CCs, but still it's in the same vicinity as it was with the collection on. I just don't get it. I was really hoping that when it came off, my score would go over 700.

The only diff between EQ and TU reports is an old acct from 1987 that miraculously is reporting on TU.

Could someone explain how EQ scores differently than TU (Walmart version), and maybe why one went up so much and the other didn't budge?

Thanks!

I'm sure the old acct is helping my score. I just don't get how there could be such a huge jump with TU and virtually no change with EQ.

I had the same experience as you. My one baddie fell off my reports, & both my TU (from here & from Walmart) & EQ dropped while EX jumped 41 points or so. I wish I could say why, but all I can really say is the very vague "TU & EQ weigh things differently"

2 boys (litter mates). I had 2 more: their father and his sister. Both died in the last year, so I'm really wanting another dog. I'm thinking about Bichon rescue when I'm ready. After having 4 dogs for so long, 2 dogs doesn't seem like a lot.

I do have concerns about how they'll react to a new dog. I'll need to make sure they all will get along.
