The account could wind up with someone you may want to do business in the future. I had an old CC (don't remember with who) that wound up being purchased by Chase which gave me an in with them to get the Southwest Visa.

Got a SW alert that my Fingerhut account is "Sold or transferred" (Yes, I know FH sucks but it's been open since 2007 and really helped me get going on my rebuild after BK).

This is the 2nd time the account has been sold/transfered - so I have two FH accounts since 2007 on my reports - One closed when the other opened - but wouldn't you think the backdating of the second (and now third) will help my AAoA? Kinda worried they closed it bc I never use it, but they never sent me a letter saying I was closed, and wouldn't you think my SW alert would tell me the account is now closed? (Or did they already tell me that by saying sold/trasferred)??

Should I call them and tell them I don't want another account w/ them and to just close it, or do I hope they do open another one for me?

TIA
