My score is still borderline 600 among the three agencies. What can I do to fix this? I had a 2-3 credit cards in college that i maxed out but that was 8+ years ago. i thought it would fall off by now. I also have one collection that I am slower paying off through my job. Any advise would be very helpful? I was considering getting a secured card but someone told me that apply for new credit would hurt my score? It will hurt your score for the first few months. But then as it starts to get older it will help out your score more than it hurt your score in the beginning.
