Lot's of CC companies don't care about AU. At least CItibank, Chase, and Barclays I know for sure, their recon analyst/underwriters from what I'm told don't even look at them.

I am listed as an authorized user on three of my spouse's credit cards. I don't have access to these cards, and never use them, however the balances are reflected as a part of my overall debt, thus lowering my score. If I am removed from the accounts as an AU, will my FICO score increase? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

Don't have enough information to say: what else do you have in your credit report in terms of credit cards and loans? For the CC's in particular, it'd help to list the individual balances and individual credit limits for all the cards including the AU's.

Also, are the AU's in good standing (no lates) and were they opened before or after most of your personal tradelines? IF you really want to get a complete picture, put the open date on all of the loans / cards / etc as well and at that point we'll be able to suggest whether to airstrike the AU's or not.
