Myfico is accurate to the extent you can get. I know that lenders use different types of scoring systems so they may be different. Capital one uses strictly Transunions Score which is 11 points diffrent compared to MyFico. So you could use it as a base but not for the true credit score

I'm trying to repair my credit. I use Capital Ones credit tracker and I just signed up for myficos credit monitoring service as well to keep up with my credit score. Are either of these good sources or should I find a different way to monitor my credit score?

Anything other than Fico is fake . Even the ones you can buy from the CRA's themselves are not the real fico .

If you just want to monitor your credit score progress and get credit reports then for Experian go to creditsesame.com and credit.com, Transunion got to creditkarma.com and for Equifax go to quizzle.com. These are all truly free services but their scores don't match FICO. You can use them for trends though, if you're going up or down. They are commonly referred to as FAKO scores, as in FAKE-OH.

For your real credit scores from FICO you can sign up for the 3 credit bureau report, $19.95/month, 3 month minimum. That will give you your real credit scores. Look at my sig and you'll see how they can differ.
