What are the credit scores ranges for Bad? Not Good? Good? Very Good? Great? What's the minimum scores that get you into each category?

Poor credit score: 580 to 619

Vantage Plus system scores from 501-990.
A-901-990
B-801-900
C-701-800
D-601-700
F-501-600

FICO system scores from 300-850.
Elite-740-& up
Prime-700-739
Preferred-660-699
Standard-625-659
Sub-prime-624-& under

On my fico, i went from not good to good at 660. The fancy color change from orange to yellow was swell.

MyFico for me:

760+ Great

740-760 Very Good

674-723 Good My lowest score ever here was 674 and its labeled good. I went from 723 to 740 si I'm assuming 740 is the beginning of Very good.

This is the same for all 3 bureaus according to MyFico.

Current Scores:

TU 801 Great

EX 758 Very Good

EQ 754 Very Good

Actually, have very good at 736, so maybe it starts at 720? Or 730?

I think the Good mark on myFico is at 660. I had a 654 and that was Not Good, and a 661 is at Good.

Both websites match and to translate that into human readable text:

300-579 POOR
580-669 FAIR
670-739 GOOD
740-799 VERY GOOD
800-850 EXCEPTIONAL

Technically anything 640> is considered prime and anything <640 is sub-prime but that equilibrium has seemed to get higher after 2008.

IMO...

640 or below is poor

640-720 is average

720-800 is good

800+ you can buy whatever the heck you want

Those ranges are bogus just as the average makes no sense. The median is ~723 with one half below and the other half above, which is a good starting point.
