I have been leaving only one account report a balance for quite some time, to be able to keep my scores up so there will be no AA..to take advantage of the chase 5% bonus category last month i charged $400 on my card(freedom)..in the restaurant category...i had a $304 balance on it last month...so i made two $350 dollar payments this month and bang...18 point drop on equifax.. mind you i still have a $4.00 balance...recent alert says the balance on one of your accounts has decreased by $304..score 721, down 18 from 739....even leaving a balance on an account after paying down the last month balance in full might not be used as the account with a balance if you had a running balance...not too worried as it will come back as it usually does.. but not good if you want to app....
