I did the same. Whenever I responded to a thread, under the old setup, I elected to subscribe to every one and also floated all of them to the top. I had 4000+ subscriptions and floated hundreds to the top. After the change, it took over 2 minutes to go from the login page to the community. When clicking from page to page within the forums, it would take over a minute for a page to load. I started clearing the floated threads first and noticed a remarkable improvement as they were being unfloated. After all of them were cleared it still took up to a couple of minutes to get into the forums. I then cleared the subscribed threads and now I can navigate with super-fast speed. Unfortunately, there isn't a mass unfloat option. You have to unfloat them one at a time. To unsubscribe, you can unsubscribe 10 at a time.

When you first enter a board, take for example FICO Forums Technical Help, you'll see a dark grey-ish blue line. Anything below it are new threads. Anything above that line are stickied threads (2 in here). However, you may have floated some threads and those appear above that line too. For whatever reason, those floated threads slow things down GREATLY. I had hundreds floated and once I removed every one, everything was super fast. You can unfloat it by opening that thread and selecting "thread options" I think? anyway you should see a link for "un-float thread" and that removes it after you click "Yes" to confirm. I also had some favorites I didn't want to lose either but I saved those links elsewhere and was glad to get a faster forum.

Just wanted to put in my two cents... I don't have any threads floated, and I don't subscribe to any threads, yet I have also noticed a slowdown. IMO, it's a scripting issue, emanating from lithium. As I write this, for instance, the tool bar to format this reply is missing. And it will only appear if I allow lithium.com to run scripts, even though myfico.com has scripting permissions. If I enable lithium.com to run scripts, I get the toolbar back, and I also get the slower performance. Previously (before the new look for myfico), no additional permissions were required for this site to function well and load quickly. And there's also some quirkiness with whatever script is being run by lithium, as several times I've received error messages for no apparent reason, stating that my request could not be completed . I have noticed this error in particular as I begin to reply to a post, and halfway through or so, the error message appears. Somebody's got a few bugs to work out here...

Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen a slowdown on Macs?

FF on Windows was horrible for me, but FF on Mac has been fine.

At least in terms of speed. There are still lots of other weirdnesses.

It's been a couple of months since I've been on. I still can't load any search results? I get the results, but when I click the topic, blank page...

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble, bigtim. We're not aware of any known issues like the one you're describing, but we're here to help.

If you haven't done this already, first try cleaning your chache to see if that helps. If that doesn't work, could you provide us with more information, i.e. your browser and version, operating system (XP, Vista, etc?), and what you put in the search box?
