Anybody else get spam MF private message ???

Looks like someone joined MF and sent me a PM yesterday asking if my business needed a loan....etc.

The same nonsense I get by phone and email constantly these days.

No public posts to that users name at all either.

I reported the post and new user yesterday but have received no reply if it was taken care of.

Spammer was banned yesterday at 8:46 PM, two minutes after you reported spam in inbox.

As far as follow up, I don't see anything in your message about asking for follow up with you.

There were public posts but once those are marked as spam, they are no longer visible.

Appreciate the response.

I just assumed a reply would be forthcoming ....I found the whole episode distasteful and a breach of what I considered a very secure forum so it would pretty much be established

protocol to reply.......but if it happens again I will ask for it.

Nothing was "breached"... new users have the same access to the PM system that you and all other users have. The problem was reported (by several members), and was promptly dealt with. The forum is just as secure as it's always been.

We can't prevent all spam from happening, but we can - and do - deal with it promptly when it occurs.
