This is crazy........give me your opinion

I recently pulled my CR and have noticed MANY MANY things that are incorrect on the reports including my Soc. Sec.#, date of birth, many many addresses which are not mine, an employeer which is incorrect........should I try and do a major request to delete multiple items becaus of these huge errors? Im not sure how to handle this, id like to clean up as much as much as i can im one shot.......could i use this as a plus on my side to delete some old neg acct reporting? Any advise? Thanks for the help!!

Sounds to me like you didn't pull yours, you pulled someone elses report. The name might be the same, but SSN, employer, address, date of birth? The only common demoninator is the name, which there are many common names.

I could be way off though. I'm pretty new to this whole credit report thing.

Where doid the Report come from? Which source and which CR?

If you name, address and SS are all wrong, there seems to be a major problem

Your Social should be yours, however I have seen reports that included alias social security numbers. In this case YES all information needs to be disputed. It can help remove some negatives too if they are under the wrong name of social. My friend had stuff under a social that was 1 digit off as a mistype and a name slight wrong. He was able to have that and the accounts that were negative removed as well because they used the wrong name, ect...

I have had plenty of stuff wrong on my reports except I fix them as they happen. I had more than 20 errors when I first started. Sounds like you did a lot of applying at one point and either did it over the phone or on paper. Stuff gets mixed up, happens. Yes dispute with each agency directly by FAX. DO NOT DO IT OVER THE PHONE. More mistakes happen that way. If you do it online only dispute stuff you want deleted. Fax is the best way to have things corrected.

My DW did hers over the phone with Experian...all he sister info was put on her report because their names are so close...the only things different in their names are the first letter of the first and middle name...anyway...she found it easier...they guy just asked her what was hers...what wasn't hers...and he said he was going to take it off...and she got a conformation email that same day...all depends...I guess...
