Problem with Equifax

I sent in a dispute for a collection that i had on my report. I did the one that was given on here and mailed it off. I got a letter back from equifax.

Here is what i disputed: Ramcell cellular account number ending in 9575

The letter from them: Ramcell cellular account number ending in 9575 is not currently reporting

On the print out they mailed with it in the collection section it has NCO Fin/99 collection for client Ramcell cellular Communications account number ending in 9575.

What should i do?

The 1st delinquency is 11/2005 Will this be on here for 7 years from that date? I live in NC. I think so.

I paid the account and i know i was in the wrong how is the best way to get this off? I have tried and tried to GW the OC but i have not tried this NCO Finance or whatever.

They are correct, Ramcell Cellular Communications is not reporting. NCO Fin/99 is reporting the account. You need to dispute NCO/Fin if you are going to dispute any of them.

Whoever is reporting is the one you will have to dispute/GW/etc.

just weird because i clicked on what i disputed i did not have a choice to what it was. But i will see how the e-mail goes then try to GW then dispute

Thanks sidewinder and the rest of guys. Yes Ramcell is the OC and NCO is the CA. I called and paid the OC about a year ago.

Got any answers as to how long they can report this as paid ? I think the SOL is 7 years from 1st missed.

SOL on cellular bills is 2 years. It can be reported for 7.

anybody else have any luck with NCO? I did a search and found that a few people sent e-mails and got a few items taken off.
