My AG or their AG?

If I am going to file a complaint with the AG over Midland, would I file the complaint with my state's AG, their state's AG, or both?

I filed both my state's AG and the California AG regarding said CA. Oh, and BBB and FTC complaints too.

The responses from both AG's were along the lines of "Thank you for submitting your complaint. The AG's office keeps records of such."

The issue was resolved and off of my CRs within 30 days of filing all complaints. The BBB actually opened up lines of communication with MCM after they had declined to respond to three DVs.

You got them removed? I think it is the first I've heard of it.

I filed with BBB and they sent me an email saying that MCM couldn't discuss the account with them until I signed a release. I am afraid that by giving my signature to BBB they'd pass it on to MCM who might do something shady with it. I know for a fact that they DON"T have my signature. The OC told me everything was verbal.

sidewinder -

I created a special signature that I use specifically for CA-related issues. That way, if it shows up magically on another document, I know that they fudged it and can prove it.

Ivy, I did something similar. I sent a modified signature that was absolutely unlike my normal one and included "DV" at the end of it. I sent it off to the BBB and had a response from MCM through them within 72 hours.

After months of research, I found the source of the alleged debt. When MCM responded via the BBB, I had a name and number. I broke down and called MCM, explained the chronology of the events. The alleged debt actually was paid out of my funds, but the agent responsible for doing it violated the contract. It was a long and unusual explanation.

They deleted (and sent a letter confirming the delete) within a couple of days.

I believe that the FTC and AG complaints in conjunction with the BBB involvement AND the really bizarre sequence of events just made the small debt not worth pursuing.

Does the FTC actually contact them? I know that the AG, or the one here does.

I just emailed the release form. Maybe that will work and I won't have to continue on to the AG of both states and FTC.

I have already filed one complaint this week with my AG, don't want to file too many too soon, know what I mean. The website states "we are not your personal lawyer" they may think that is what I am using them for.
