TrueCredit Lock/Unlock (Transunion)

Mine seems to not work I click on it and it does not bring me to the lock/unlock option it shows demo I click on the right option and it goes to a page that has nothing to do with locking my report

Does being in Alaska not let me do this?

I locked mine and nothing changed. Not sure what it does. It should be a freeze I believe. Didn't work for me.

Under the your identity tab, when you click lock/ Unlock you should see an image of a padlock in the middle of the screen. Just click on the lock button & your TU report is locked. Basically no one can access your TU report until you release the lock. It's more like a freeze. Only current creditors will have access to your report. I used that method to steer creditors to my other CR because TU is my lowest score.

Only thing that changes is no new potential creditor can access your credit report. When you update Truecredit. YOU'll see a notice on your TU report saying your report is frozen and it was only made available because you personally requested it.
