CRA take anywhere from a day to a month(or sometimes even longer) to update.

They may not all update at one time.

What I'd suggest is signing up for some type of credit monitoring services where you can view your reports daily for one monthly fee. The scores that come with them are FAKO scores so don't pay attention to them.

TrueCredit is a heavily used. I really like it. $14.95 per month and daily pulls are allowed.

Message Edited by sidewinder on 07-11-2008 11:54 PM

TC does not encourage daily pulls. If you want to monitor your credit reports closely you are better off going with Chaseidprotection. $11.99 monthly. Ugly reports but you won't get the email accusing you of trying to manipulate the credit scoring system because you used their product in the manner it was advertised.

FWIW, I've never gotten static from TC, and I'll bet I've averaged 5+ pulls a week since last September or October.

You should see all the TC softs listed on my EX report, LOL. It's mortifying.

The one thing is that you can only pull every 24 hours + 1 minute, so sometimes you have to keep hitting the update button if you've spaced on what time you pulled the day before.

If for no other reason, I like TC because it displays the report date as mm/dd/yyyy on TU and EX.

Pulled from May 2007 through October 2007. Got banned and received the "letter" accusing me of trying to manipulate the credit scoring system. Like everything else they do TU uses the scattershot approach. Absolutely third rate in every way. That's why every credit issuer is backing off them. Where I live the only mid tier creditor who uses them is Barclays/Juniper. Cap One and Amex will pull them along with EQ and Ex just to bust chops.

They haven't done so yet, but did receive orders to do so from the main office.

Maybe now that they seem to have fixed the problems they're offering deep discounts to bring customers back.

What are your FICO scores now? Remember that your D/R comes into play for a mortgage. Do you have any other CCs? What is your total UTIL?

The less that you owe anyone helps you (for a mortgage). Best score is when you have under total UTIL of 10%.

I have TU and prob. around the time that hauling got it. There were a lot of people getting dumped. I pulled every day for months......now I pay by the month.......I had to call them 1 time & listen to a long speach......she didn't speak english well but she was telling me that was pulling for no reason.....she said that most creditors only report 1 time a month & that would be on the 1st or the 15th........I didn't get banned.

Now DS paid for the full year & pulls every day (for 1 year) never got banned or asked to call.
