Unless you have major changes occurring to your reports and are in the process of a major purchase pulling a FICO is like watching a pot of water and waiting for it to boil. On top of that is is too much money.

Since I will not be applying for anything for quite some time and since I have pulled enough to know my scores ain't goin' anywhere I am on the once a year plan starting last week. That's it for me.

my scores change a lot with the exception of experian. i pull them once a month. if you pull them more frequently the report probably wont reflect updates or there will be such a large change that the next time you pull the report, your score could have changed, settled, or adjusted.

I pull each FICO report a minimum of 2x per month for DW and I. If something changes via TC, then I'll pull to see the cause and effect of it. I'll slow down to once every month when we buy a house or when we finish repair, which may be soon.

I'll also pull each CR directly from each CRA once a month.

Your other 2 reports are just as important. Also, SW doesn't seem to catch falling baddies (other than via a target score change). Recently, I had a CA pop on for only 4-5 days before it fell off, but SW never caught it. And even if you do get a SW alert, it won't always tell you the specific reasons of a score change. For example on the CA above, when it fell off, I got a SW alert for a 14 pt increase and the reason: one or more of my balances increased. Now we know that a CC balance increasing didn't cause the increase, but rather the baddie falling off, albeit a CC balance did increase.
