<DIV>I was an authorized user on my wife's credit card.&nbsp; $16k balance/$21k available.&nbsp;(weddings get expensive quickly).&nbsp;Though I have been removed as an authorized user for several months and all three credit reporting agencies reflect as much, the $16k balance is included in my revolving credit amount for purposes of FICO.&nbsp; Other than the high balance, the account is in good standing with no negatives re payment.&nbsp;&nbsp; Both of&nbsp;my personal credit cards are under 10% balance to available (relatively low credit limits).&nbsp; So, my question is, do I dispute the account with credit agencies as "not my account," or do I pay down my wife's card as quickly as possible.&nbsp; I'm not certain which will raise my FICO scores quicker.&nbsp; (and i'm worrie that removing account may actually lower my score).&nbsp; I'm attempting to qualify for mortgage, and have been informed that lender&nbsp;makes determination based on whichever spouse's&nbsp;credit score is lower,&nbsp;which is me.&nbsp; Thanks in advance for any assistance.</DIV>
