Credit Score Good but.........

Right now I am currently TU=662, EXP=665, and EQ=635.

In my quest for credit I am getting rejected due to some 30 day and 60 day lates that are a lil over a year old. I just recently paid off my cc debt and according to FICO Sim this should put me very close to 700. Are lenders becoming less score driven?? Your responses are greatly appreciated.

No. They all take score into consideration. But the thing is, they take the complete picture into history, as well.

What's hurting you are those recent (1yr old lates). Not to mention the state of credit and the economy at this given time.

Maybe wait for those CC to report paid.

Given the current situation, creditors aren't likely going to approve CC to someone carrying high balances already, someone who has large amounts of available credit, etc.

Have you tried to GW the lates?

Unless you need the credit, I would wait until they turn at least 2 years old and your balances are low.
