Any Information Appreciated

EQ had a name on my credit report that I never used. So I disputed it and sent a copy of my driver's license with the dispute. Now my EQ credit report is gone. They pretty muched removed half of the information on my EQ atleast what I get from TC when I pull all three. Should I send them more info about me or what?

Did that name resemble yours or was it way off? Also, do you still have a copy of your old report? Look for other info too like DOB, addresses, employment, etc to see if that was off.

And with respect to the TLs, were they all yours or could they be related to that unknown name? I would also try to pull your EQ report directly from EQ to see what is up.

Yeah they were mine only had two baddies but alot of goodies including some old secured loans I had paid back. I just contacted EQ they want me to send a copy of my DL, and a bill just did this only two months when they had me dead on my credit report now I have to do it again. The other name had my last but the first name was totally off. So I will fax them the information now hope they can take care of this issue.

I think what he was asking was .... was the name actually yours?

Another guy just had this same problem I can't remember which board it was on but you can search for him by name I will give you the name by PM if you want. He might be able to help you. He disputed a variation of his name and ended up with 2 CR .

If the name was an actual veriation of your name then they see disputing that as disputing your name. You have to be carefull how you word things when you make those requests. And I definitely wouldn't dispute a name by online dispute

For Example ... if my name was listed on my credit report as

Amy Boo

AmyBoo

Ms. AmyBoo

Mrs. AmyBoo

Boo Amy

Captain Boo

Mr. Boo

all of those are variations of MY name. So how can I be Mr. AmyBoo and Mrs. AmyBoo.... because Mr is just a mispelling of Mrs.

They only time I would reccomend disputing a name on my CR as not mine would be if it was just WAYYY off!

like if my name were AmyBoo and I looked and it said SammieBoo since sammie is in no way part of my name then that doesn't belong there where as if it said AmieBoo I would just look through all my past and previous accounts and see if someone somewhere.. even a previous employer may have just misspelled my name.

The first name was totally diffrent instead of my name Nathan it was Mason plus Mason died back in 2004 at a hospital in this city. I should know when I came in a month after that they said sir you died two months ago. I was like ok how did I do that. Dont remember exactly what but I just remember them asking me do I have some kind of blood disease. I told them no they took my blood and told me ohh your not the same guy sorry. His name came up under my SSN for some freaking reason then it took me 3 years to finally get it off...Then magically it came back on but this time I was not dead so I disputed it and EQ removed most everything I have done in the last 4 years, CC, Student loans and secure loans all gone....

At this point I would call them and talk to them. They have a way of retrieving that info. If you have an older copy of your CR, then that will speed the process up a little.

Look also in your other CRs, not just EQ. I'd recommend pulling directly from the CRA or through annualcreditreport.com.

Got a copy of those credit reports earlier this month they are ok. The other name never appeared back on them. Thanks I rather not send another copy if I just sent one about 3 months ago.
