I signed up for this a couple of months ago and liked how it would send me a email every time there was a change to my report . I am in the process of cleaning up my credit and I would like to keep getting updates every time something changes. With the new changes to true credit only allowing you to check your scores/reports once a month .. .. will they still send instant updates to chages that may occur or is it just a once a month type thing. I basically just need the updates I really dont care about the FAKO score since it doesnt mean anything.... Is there a better product out there for what I am wanting or will TC continue to do this even tho they are making some changes in there format...

I received an alert from TC for a change in my EQ just today and listed what the change was when I logged in. Same old alerts, just no updating anymore.

I still use creditchecktotal for all 3. My price is high $30-something, but some here have negotiated lower. I also use Nat City's ID Protect. Just like TC and as of Friday (post-change for TC), it still updated all 3. Though I don't remember my password and am out of town right now. I hope it didn't change.

CCT is offering $19.95 now to new customers. I did the 7 day trial back in May 08 but then I cancelled. After cancelling TC last week and seeing other board members recommending CCT, I tried to sign up but the system recognized me already as a user and wouldn't allow me to sign up for $19.95 so I called customer service and the rep offered me $29.95 for the first month and then $19.95 for the rest of 2009. She said if I still wanted to keep the membership but not pay $19.95 after 2009 to call back and they will adjust the price again. You should give them a call so that you no longer have to pay $29.95.

It clearly states on their website that the price is now $19.95, why can't they just make the $19.95 permanent? I, too, had them in the $29.95 days, before I found TC and dropped them, as paying twice as much as TC for monitoring was too steep for my taste. I want to get a CMS, but I don't want to have to remember to call next Dec to make sure they don't nab me for the $30.

There is no CMS for all 3 FICO scores, except for pulling frequently via here, which will cost a pretty penny.

SW only offers a FICO from EQ only. There are no report updates for TU and EX via that service.

CCT offers FAKOs, but the data is important by which to see changes to your report.

ETA....TU does offer a quarterly monitoring service via myFICO.

Message Edited by llecs on 12-23-2008 11:31 AM

CCT=Credit Check Total.

Don't know about the Costco service, but I would think that you would want a daily puller, if you are in the process of credit repair. Make sure they can do that.

They will send an alert if the account changes, usually, but not if removed. You'd need a service that you can pull daily to see when it pops off. And when it does, then pull the corresponding FICO to see any score change, if so desired.
