Recording Phone Calls

I plan on recording phone calls this month to document the very illegal activities of a CA.

Both my state (NY) and the CA state have 'one-party' laws meaning only one party (in this case me) needs to know/consent to the recording.

I'm just trying to further confirm this or add'l info with anyone else who might know. As far as I can tell, as long as I, n a State with one-party loaw, know/consent to the recordings, I can record a conversation from any incoming state whether it is a one or two/all party state.

To date the CA has violated 2 FDCP laws (refused to send written demand/notice, called AU and insisted they could collect AND threatened to update the Credit Report with a collection by noon of that day) so I want to document each additional violation (e.g. calling after they recieve notice not to and/or recording of verbal request not to call)
