Score dropped 15 points on a dispute

I disputed an old account that was closed and the status was listed as 30 days past due. The status of the account was updated with Bad Debt; Placed for collection. What can I do to get my 15 points back?

Hoping this doesn't come across wrong, why did you dispute it? Was it wrong? Were you not past due? If you were past due and you disputed it, then you did the wrong thing, you should have left it alone. If you weren't late and it is not a bad debt sent to collection, then you need to send a dispute directly to the account servicer and ask them to correct it and if you don't hear back, send the letter along with a fresh dispute to CRA and ask them to have it corrected or removed. Either way it will be messy.

I'd GW the OC to ask for help in removing the late and the bad debt reference.
