Then after 30 days when they do an investigation then they verify it where I can see the verified is it bad thing if they say verified? Because in my case I have 2 Bally Accounts first account on 2006 they say it’s a 30 days trial then after 30 days I discontinued but It shows on my credit report as closed account the second account which is on 2008 same thing 30 days trial after 30 days I discontinued and It shows again on my credit report. So, when I pull my report I saw Two Account closed from Bally. What’s the best thing to do to remove those accounts. Thanks a Lot really need some help

Some creditors like HSBC will update your comments to reflect that the account is in dispute. If you further don't agree with their response, they will update it to dispute resolved customer disagrees but generally most will not. Sometimes the CRAs will also update the comment line on their own to reflect a dispute is pending but generally there is not hard fast rule for it being reported and seems to be on case by case bases.

In the case of Experian for sure, they will update to say that it was verified and the date they "resolved" your dispute and in their case, they will NOT redispute easily and will continue to tell you it was verified and refuse to redispute which should be illegal. They are also supposed to provide you the information of the verifying party but they will always defer you to the address on the report which is NOT the address/or way they verify which is misleading to the public and illegal but they keep doing it.

Be prepared for a long haul in some cases though and repeated refusals by the CRA and repeated verifieds even when the information is truly wrong, this happens as they do it using e-OSCAR sometimes which is an electronic system. This system requires the agent of the CRA to narrow down your concern down to a two letter code which is very subjective and this could make it verified even if it is wrong. This is why they have that stupid pull down of reasons because that's how they know what to code it as. Anyway, we can go on forever on the subject but this should shed some light to get you started. Sometimes you have better luck hitting the original creditor directly to ask them to remove it and then hit the CRA.

But in my case I want to delete the closed accounts because its not my fault but they stick it on my credit report

When you dispute a account with CRA's where will the dispute word attach and you mention about resolved where

will it show up. Thanks a lot

As I said, it does't always reflect on the report but it does for Equifax in some cases where either them or the creditor feel like putting in a comment, it will look like this (actual clip of my own report):

before they put this comment it said: "Consumer disputes account" which I never did, all I had done was ask that they update the missing history and the balance. Then you have Experian which sort of tells the world you disputed by putting something like this in your comment (actual clip of my own report):

by putting in there that the item was verified and updated on a given date, people can see that it was recently updated therefore it must have been disputed. Sort of a roundabout way of disclosing it and once you get this comment put in there, Experian will almost NEVER update or take your dispute on the item again.

I know you want these gone but to do that you have to either convince the original creditor to remove it, unlikely, or dispute it and get lucky with the CRA which is a crap shoot to say the least. Did this help clarify anything or did I make it worse for you?

If you ever have to file a complaint later, you will need hard proof and a nice paper trail and the minimum standard of proof in court is certified mail. Always print and keep the USPS tracking reports and attach and keep them with your certified receipts as well. Again, good luck.

However, people do it to use the loop holes and the delays and luck of the system to beat it and get it off their report or hire companies that use the same techniques to "rebuild" credit. I am bound by my oath and the law to tell you, if its accurate don't dispute it and leave it be, as you can open up cans of worm by disputing accurate accounts as they can come back with more baddies that can hurt you and sometimes it renews the clock on when they fall off and that means they stay to hurt you longer. Its hard to say what you should do, you should decide this one your own and based on how much you willing to rock the boat and make waves.

Disputing can not cause items to remain longer on your report, legally. CRTP is based on DOFD/closed date(for positive accounts) and can not be changed once it is set.

However, as mentioned, disputing accurate information is not permitted and can lead to many negative results.

How about just writing the OC a very nice worded GW letter explaining the situation and how it effects you, asking them to remove the account?

Once again thanks Guardian, I didn't dispute it from CRA's because I know thats accurate information

so what I did I call bally's total fitness to take it off then the person i'm talking to he said he will send a dispute

to their internal credit dept. is it possible that I could see a dispute on my CR? even I call bally and they

will send a dispute on their own internal credit?

I really don't know what to do because this account is not my fault its accurate but I did not know that

they will put this account to my CR sincr its only a trial and now my AAoA is down to 2yrs because of this

did I do the right thing to call bally to take it off or I create a much bigger problem. Thank you Guardian.

So you can rely on the law and say it shouldn't extend but I have seen it happen. So all we can do is hope it doesn't. If they agree with you and decide to remove in good faith then it will come off your report and if not then it just stays there, no harm done. Unless they decide to get mean and vindictive and try to send updates to make it look worse which is unlikley although possible. You are most welcome, good luck.

Usually no difference unless they add information which wasn't there before but now appears. Don't worry too much as we all take that risk when we dispute something.
